The only movement training dedicated to spiral anatomy and rotational biomechanics. For movement teachers, bodyworkers and health professionals who want to share glide before gains with their clients.

Not alignment. Unfolding.
The spiral runs through life. It shapes collagen, traces the path of every limb and organises the fascial matrix from the single cell to the whole moving body. For a long time we taught the body as straight lines and levers. Fascia tells a different story: a living continuity that may be measured in lines, but always unfurls in curves.
Five Filaments is a grammar of spiral movement. You learn to read, cue and teach the rotational logic that emerges naturally from the human form, and to bring it into any practice: Pilates, yoga, fitness or movement therapy.
You won't leave more cautious. You'll leave more curious.
Three threads, woven together
The theory
Spiral anatomy and rotational biomechanics, grounded in current fascia and hyaluronan research, including how hormones shape glide, plus self-paced anatomy and embryology.
The 5F Repertoire
Around 150 rotational movements, the "spiral snacks", organised by filament to restore glide, taught live and kept in your library.
5F Flow Mat Practices
Low, medium and high intensity sequencing so you can bring spiral motion into cardio and resistance work with your clients.

Hormones & glide
Your fascia listens to your hormones
The gel between your tissue layers is never finished. Hyaluronan is constantly made and remade, and hormones help set the recipe. That's why the same body can feel fluid one week and sticky the next, across the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and beyond.
- OestrogenSupports hydration and collagen renewal. When it dips, glide often dips too.
- ProgesteroneShifts how tissue holds water through the cycle and in pregnancy.
- RelaxinAdds give to connective tissue, especially in pregnancy and postpartum.
- CortisolUnder ongoing stress, it can leave tissue drier and stiffer.
In the training you learn how the calcium–hyaluronan (CHA) axis links load, hormones and hydration, and how to adapt spiral movement for clients at every life stage.

The 5F principle
Glide before gains
Restore the slide between the layers first. Then build strength and stamina on tissue that can actually use it.
That's the order you'll learn to teach: restore glide, then add load.
Paris 5F Immersion
Collaborative Teaching
Watch how I demonstrate a movement once at the front, then the whole room finds it in their own body. As a Five Filaments Specialist you'll learn the same skills: how to show a spiral clearly, cue it simply, and adapt it so every body in the room can glide.

Is it for you?
Open to anyone with a prior qualification as a movement professional. Yoga, Pilates, dance, personal training, bodywork and therapy all welcome.
This is for you if
- You're deeply curious about new-paradigm anatomy, physiology and fascia.
- You hold a movement or therapy qualification, and you love to move.
- You're a self-led, lifelong learner who sees movement as healing.
- You want a strong anatomical foundation and an evidence-based rationale for your teaching.
Not for you if
- You're not interested in rethinking anatomy from a fascia-focused perspective.
- You're content with the nuts-and-bolts model of classical biomechanics.
- You're attached to one predefined system of movement.
- You prefer an entirely lecture-based approach.
"Karen is a phenomenal anatomy and yoga teacher. Her work is particularly suited for anyone interested in putting the nuances of anatomy into motion, enabling them to weave her teachings into their practice. Highly recommended!"
